BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Boise State Baseball plans to be hitting the bases in 2020 at Memorial Stadium.
Boise State Athletics announced Friday they have entered into an agreement with the Boise Hawks for use of Memorial Stadium.
"We are excited to have a place to call home as we work through the process of developing something permanent,” head coach Gary Van Tol said. “We appreciate Bob Flannery, the general manager of the Boise Hawks, and his staff for their efforts and the opportunity to move into Hawks Memorial Stadium to play our first season in 40 years."
Van Tol continued, “the Boise Hawks’ support and experience in professional baseball will provide our players, staff and fans a quality environment and venue that will make our first season a special one."
Following its first game in 40 years – at Washington, Feb. 25 – the Broncos will return home to host Northern Colorado in a four-game series, Feb. 28-March 1. The series with the Bears kicks off an 11-game homestand.
