Maui Hotel & Lodging Association Executive Director Lisa Paulson was recently recognized by Pacific Business News as one of “Hawaii’s Most Admired Leaders” and was also a recipient of Pacific Edge Magazine’s “Hospitality Executive of the Year” Business Achievement Award.
Among other things, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Paulson helped facilitate the “Hotels for Healthcare Heroes” program and the “KauKau for Keiki” food distribution program.
She currently serves on the Women in Lodging & Tourism Advisory Council, the Hawaii Tourism Authority Maui Nui Destination Management Action Plan group and the boards of Maui Economic Development Board and Maui Chamber of Commerce. She also serves on the Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center board of directors, the Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism Housing Working Group and the Maui County Economic Recovery Working Group.
In June, Paulson presented the Maui Hotel & Lodging Association campaign, “Faces of Aloha,” at the Public Relations Society of America’s Travel & Tourism Section Conference in Wisconsin. She also served as a panelist at the Vegas Chamber Business Panel in October and was also a panelist at Pacific Business News’ Maui Business Panel.
